My painting is expressive and figurative.  I am drawn to people and animals, especially their faces.  I prefer working from life, but often use photo references.  My painting media include: watercolor, oils, acrylics,  pastels and encaustic

My background includes  an early education in the arts, an undergraduate degree in western classics and a graduate degree in design and photography. Bonnard, Klee, Bauhaus and the Golden Mean are all inspirations..
